George currently works with local producers and artists in the Los Angeles area as well as remotely with other clientele all across the globe.  He plays the following instruments:

  • Guitars (electric, acoustic, nylon/classical)
  • Piano/Keyboards/Synths (including sequencing and programming)
  • Electric Bass Guitar
  • Lap Steel, Mandolin and other stringed instruments
  • Percussion and smaller mallet instruments

Additionally, he offers instruction into production for beginner and intermediate level students.  Some of the topics covered are:

  • Helping you find and set up the right Digital Audio Workstation (DAW*) software, audio interface, and other gear needed to achieve your production goals
  • General navigation within DAWs: setting up, organizing, and saving projects/sessions; developing an efficient work flow, utilizing quick keys/shortcuts
  • Basics for recording: signal flow, inputs/outputs, levels and metering, converting MIDI to audio (creating stems), making bounces, file management
  • Recording, editing, and manipulating audio and MIDI
  • Introduction and advancement in utilizing plug-ins and virtual instruments, basic synthesis
  • Introduction and advancement in programming, sequencing, and sampling
  • Essentials of equalization, mixing, and mastering; dynamics, frequency ranges, and the stereo field; mixing 'in the box'
  • Remixing, building around loops/samples
  • Preparing you to collaborate with other artists, producers, and creative minds
  • Working with video files, composing for film/tv
  • Being able to produce your own music from scratch

*DAWs offered to teach on: Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Reason (you must have a copy on your own computer to work with)
